EVAN SOMERS – Writer/Executive Producer


Evan Carlos Somers has been writing professionally since an act of "providence" steered him away from a legal career in '92 and deposited him on the doorstep of the entertainment industry. Since then he has worked as a staff writer on the syndicated TV series STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE, freelanced for both network and syndicated episodic dramas, written for children's programming and developed a sitcom pilot. When he's not writing, Evan divides his time between teaching at Loyola Marymount University in Westchester (where he received his Master of Arts in Film in '89), teaching at Santa Monica College, and serving as the Chair of the Writers With Disabilities Committee of the WGAw.


JESS THOMAS - Director/Producer/Editor

Studied Theater/film at San Francisco State U. Wrote/Directed: Documentaries; Grapevine, California's Napa Valley Uncorked. Short films; Probe 1, For The Money, James Bland - You Only Live Until You Die. In addition to working as an Actor in L. A. Confidential, Jess has written 7 screenplays and worked in the world of broadcast as an engineer and project manager for ABC, FOX, and USA Networks. In 2003 he wrote, directed and edited a digital feature length film entitled “CHECKING THE GATE” which was picked up for distribution by Echelon Entertainment and has sold in the US, UK, Italy, China, Thailand, and more. “THE SEEKER” is his first Feature length documentary.
It was picked up by Passion River Films and is available at Netflix, Blockbuster online, Amazon, Barns & Noble and many more.  His second feature, "BEIJING GIRL: Made in China"  is currently in post and had been submitted to the Festival de Cannes.


KEITH BAREFOOT – Director of Photography/Camera

Cinematographer Keith Barefoot has fifteen or so years of experience combining lighting and camera work for both films and television. He currently finds himself contributing to a number of programs on the History Channel and Discovery Channel. He has always been inspired by good cinematic storytelling.


ERIK GODAL, MARK FONTANA & THE BLUE HAWAIIANS - MUSIC

Composer Erik Godal was classically trained while growing up in Aspen Colorado, home to the Aspen conservatory school of music. He also studied music and orchestration for film at OCC and UCLA. In the past two years, Erik has scored music for ten feature films, such as “Gacy”, “The Utopian Society”, “The Affair”, “Dark Town”, “Greed” “Letter to True” “Only In America”
In addition to films, Erik has scored orchestral music for MGM Ultimate James Bond DVD collection as well as several TV shows including the hit series “SpongBob Square Pants” and music for various shows on the History Channel, BBC, ESPN and FOX.
Erik is also a member of the LA band “The Blue Hawaiians” as well as a founding member of the Mercury Records band “Novacaine” and has worked as a record producer and session player for a number of major label acts including Tina Arena, Johnny and David Hallyday, Cowboy Mouth, James Brown and Melissa Ethridge.

Composer Mark Fontana is the founding member of the Interscope/Coolsvile LA band “The Blue Hawaiians.” The Blue Hawaiians did music for the TV show Sponge Bob Square Pants and did the score for the feature film “Red Meat” They have also appeared and played music for a number commercials, such as one for Guess jeans, and since 1994 have also supplied music for various films.

As the founder of Trailer Park Avenue, which has recently supplied music for such film and TV shows as “The Andy Richter Show” and the Bruce Weber Film “Chop Suey”, Mark is creating cool styled film music, the kind that in part made the Blue Hawaiians the seminal cool LA lounge band.

Together, Erik and Mark have formed “Orange Door” productions, a music house for film and TV. Orange door is home to a collective of composers and source music for film. Erik and Mark have worked together on six films and several TV projects.
